Avery is gentle tempered and overall shy. He doesn't exactly know how to talk to people, and gets uncomfortable when talking or touching people, so tends to resort to using sign language, in the desperate hope that people understand. Avery is a hopeless romantic and scared of the dark. He struggles with anxiety and social anxiety. When he warms up to a person, he becomes fiercely loyal, and stands up for them no matter what.
Avery stands at about 4'11, with curly blond hair that frames his face, his pale, porcelain skin is tinted with rose around the nose and cheeks, making him look doll like, with his large, sapphire eyes, he is thin and wiry, at first glance, you might think he never ate, he eats a lot, but just never seems to gain weight.
Avery grew up in a middle class home. His parents where busy and he homechools, so he never gets much attention. There where sometimes shortages of food and money, but just the three of them made it through. Avery had never truly felt at home in places. Of course there was the house he lived in, but he never truly felt like he belonged. He has always thrived literaturly and was artistic, ever since he was a child, with a passion for food and cooking. Avery never had many friends, as he didn't get out of the house much, resulting in him not exactly knowing how to interact with people.
The first time Avery remembers his magic surfacing is when the lights refused to turn off for about a week until one exploded.
