She's quiet when she reaches for the letter, plucking the envelope from her father's waiting hand and staring at the wax seal for such a long time that her father begins to fear she may have gotten cold feet. When he opens his mouth, however, she breaks out of her curious trance and braces both thumbs on either side of the red stamp, carefully breaking it into two equal halves. It's a perfect cut, but the paper has been creased, and the skin between her eyebrows furrows in inaudible dissatisfaction. So much like her mother, she is.

Natalia Delilah Draig is a half-blood witch of English, Welsh, and French descent born to Norman Draig, a promising English Auror and the youngest of the pure-blooded Draig bloodline, and the late Felicity Draig née Beauregard, a French muggle-born witch with a talent for healing spells. She's the youngest of five children: sisters Holly, Alice, and Faye, and brother Cain, the eldest.

At a young age, Talia has always been quiet and observant, largely due to the amount of energy that the Draig-Beauregard household inspires. The enchanted cabin doesn't just house the Draig-Beauregard children, but also both sets of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and a few cousins on the side. While she can offer some snark or smart remark that may have been passed down to her by her father's own witty tongue, she's primarily silent and accustomed to sitting off to the side and watching as the chaos unravels. Her household has enough noise, after all—she won't willingly add to it in fear that the meadows around their humble abode would take up arms and shoo them away for causing such a ruckus.

While the magic touch would have been common in their family due to having magical parents, Talia's first experience with it remained undiscovered until her aunt, a muggle, happened upon it. Between waking hours, Talia had inadvertently changed the colors of the flower vase in the corner of her room depending on the mood of the dream she'd found herself in—it would turn red when she was angry, blue when she was sad, or black when the nightmares jolted her awake, shifting between shades before returning to plain white when she awoke. It wasn't until her mother's sister, Aunt Delphine, saw the vase changing when she put the young witch to bed and lingered to clean her room that her magical inclination was revealed to the family. Coincidentally, Aunt Delphine shares that her sister's experience wasn't too different from hers—except, in Felicity's case, it was the color of young Delphine's hair, which she was not too pleased about at that age.

On the physical side, Talia is one of the taller girls in her age group, something that she received from equally tall parents. She has long limbs and straight shoulders, and she will likely develop an athletic body type when she reaches puberty, especially due to her favorite hobby: football with her sisters. Her hair is a shade of blonde, cropped just above her shoulders, and she has a pair of thoughtful blue eyes between long, delicate lashes. It is often said that she's a spitting image of her mother during her youth, but the way Talia's expressions shift delicately on her face is more reminiscent of her Aunt Delphine's, likely due to the fact that it was Delphine who mostly raised her after Felicity's death.
