My name is Heidi Evergreen and I am eleven years old. I have black hair with dark grey eyes and pale skin, I’m also on the shorter side but not massively. I grew up in foster home with 8 other children from when I was four years old since my mother died at child birth and my father died when I was four from a stroke. Life at the foster home isn’t great but it’s bearable. Most of the children don’t bother me because I don’t make myself noticeable. I had a few friends from school but they all moved away, leaving me on my own. Even though I’m a halfblood I only found out about being a witch recently since the foster home is muggle run by two adults called Anna Stones and Becky Smith. Although I was surprised when I received my letter to attend Hogwarts it was very understandable. I remember when I was six years old strange things began happening around me. One of the children at the foster house was friends with a boy called Michael Hanby, one day he had come round and had taken a locket that belonged to my mother, it was the only thing I had left of my parents, and started throwing it around his friends. I started crying and yelling at them to give it back with little success. I grew angry and ended up pushing Michael over without touching him. I don’t think it hurt him in anyway as he immediately sat up and shuffled away from me. I was shocked, much like the rest of the children there and did the only thing I could think of. I ran. I managed to get to the nearby shopping street and stayed there for an hour at most before Anna and Becky came and found me. They shouted at me for running away but I was too shocked still from what had happened that I barely took notice. After that day, kids at school and the foster home didn’t like being around me. The rumours from that day will always stay rumours because now anyone that witnessed it was too scared to say anything, except for Michael, who told the whole school. I never knew what actually happened that day until now and it’s a relief to know it’s nothing bad or something to be ashamed of. I can’t wait to control it and learn loads more when I get to Hogwarts!
