Born into a pureblood family Preston has a mentality that everything about he and his family lineage are to be regarded as though they were royalty or of high power. With this sort of thing, he also carried a sense of high self-esteem. He believed that looked perfect, brown hair just long enough to have some perk from behind his rather large ears, and hazel eyes that just brought out the tone on his slender face. And of course to top it all off, a small freckle on his left cheek.  Not that bullying or name calling or anything of the sort was for Preston, because he really wasn’t into that sort of thing, he just rather believed that if he or anybody else related to him weren’t treated to a certain level of quality that he could then administer a sharp comment.

His parents are highly narcissistic making it hard for them to love anybody but themselves, but they care for Preston a lot and spend a lot of time raising him and making sure he’s well cared for. They do set high expectations for him though, and when not met he can face certain consequences that aren’t overly harsh but rely on taking away sweets or grounding Preston until he fixes or understands his error. His parents use magic around the house all the time, but is always magic that is small and hardly noticeable because nothing about his family is "flashy" so to speak. His family also owns no pets including an owl. If a letter of theirs needs to be sent they would take it to a trusted friend. This is because his family finds animals rather undignified and messy, this is much to Preston's dismay because he has a secret passion for animals. If he told his parents they wouldn’t react crudely, they would probably get him a small pet if he very much desired, but he’d rather not deal with their disgust for creatures of magical sort.

Preston's personality is a rather unpleasant one when upon first glance or meeting. He is rather introverted and when spoken to has a level of arrogance to his tone and demeanor. This is what often drives potential friends at his small local school away and leaves him to play games or practice hobbies that only needs himself to enjoy. In his eyes muggles never give the right treatment to him or his family, and often speaks to them bitterly anyway, regardless on if they are kind or mean. If someone were to ignore these foul traits however, Preston has a rather kind side that he reserves for said people. He still may view things the same way, but when he gains a close friend he’s extremely loyal and almost kind of nerdy, expressing interest in math and science as hobbies as opposed to the study of the economy or world history. Preston although a hiker, and expressing interest in the art of sheep farming, was not interested in any other forms of outdoor activity. And his interest toward sheep farming was kept more private because his parents wouldn’t approve of such a dirty hobby.

Having been born into the world of magic, his first instance of magical surfacing wasn’t all that new or exciting to him. His first instance that he can recall more strongly is when he accidentally started to make a small field mouse that he noticed in his yard float. His parents were watching him and they quickly helped him release the small creature from its panic. This of course when it happened wasn’t very exciting to Preston nor did he find the particular day to be of constant memory to him.
