Rita had a fairly innocuous origin, growing up as an only child to a pair of loving parents. She was taught of life as a muggle when by her muggle born father, and learned a bit about wizardry from her mother, both of which she seemed to take to with ease. When the young Rita got her Hogwatrs letter, it surprised nobody in the Frost family, perhaps least of all, Rita herself.

Due to her stellar upbringing by her parents, Rita is very intelligent. The problem being, is she knows it, and isn't afraid to let people know it. Any small mistake that someone might make, it almost feels as if she pops out of nowhere to correct them. She can be insanely competitive, always trying to prove herself to be the best, be it whether or not in terms of sheer knowledge or magical talent. She often comes across as a teacher's pet, which naturally doesn't win her a lot of friends.

That being said, she isn't an evil person, and if one can get around the rough exterior, she can prove to be an invaluable friend. Although it often comes across as her being a know-it-all, her correction of other people, especially friends, often comes from a desire to see them become better, even if it doesn't always feel like it. She's tries to hid her emotions, constantly trying to appear as if she doesn't care, although of course as a child she almost never effectively pulls this off, and instead comes across as a very caring person, much to her own frustration. Despite her intelligence, she can be a bit naive, and it just takes a bit of logic to trick her.

Rita inherited her parent's blonde hair, but also her father's weak eyesight, her glasses accentuating her aqua blue eyes. Even for her age, she's considerably shorter than average, standing only at about 4' 2".
