Orion Sage Angelov, more commonly known as Orion. He doesn't have any nicknames due to his unusual first name.
Date and place of birth:
Orion was born sometime during February 2008 but he doesn't have a specific birthdate because nobody was able to determine when he was actually born.
He was born in Veliko Tarnovo Bulgaria which is a small town next to a bunch of lakes.
Orions birth story is one of the most interesting cases in the history of Veliko Tarnovo. According to local word, a man went on a hike in the woods only to disappear for 5 days. When he eventually reappeared he was never the same as before. Locals described him as dreamy and similar to being high on drugs all the time. After half a year the man disappeared again. The region of Veliko Tarnovo was searched but there was no trace of him. Another half-year passed and the man showed up again, this time with a baby in his arms. He gave the child to the inhabitants of the first house and vanished again. this time, permanently. The child was Orion Sage Angelov.
Family:
The folk of Veliko Tarnovo couldn't explain why a man known for being hardworking and loyal would just disappear all of a sudden. Nor could they figure out why his child had silver starlight colored hair.
Orion's father was a businessman named Ilija Angelov. He spent most of his time working and traveling and nobody expected him to have a mistress. Or at least that was the official explanation.
In reality, the wizards of the town concluded that Orion was in fact half-veela which explains his father's trips to the forest and Orions albino looks.
Background:
After he was abandoned the town raised Orion until he was two years old. After that, they tracked down the relatives of Ilija Angelov and sent Orion to Villach Austria where he lived until he was invited to Hogwarts.
His abilities caused a fuss in the family because nobody suspected that Ilija was actually a wizard. Orion managed to float and drop quite a few teacups before realizing his magical abilities.
Looks:
Orion is a special case because he's one of those few half-veelas who are in fact male. Because of this, he has some feminine traits like his long silvery hair and the shape of his face. He also possesses the beauty of the Veela making him decently outstanding.
Personality:
Having no close family to trust Orion grew up to be rather reserved and quiet. He has trouble opening up to people because he had to keep the secret of being half-veela since he was 3. If befriended, Orion is the ideal friend. He is a good listener and he's also really really kind. He's protective of his friends and will do anything for them.
He's not evil but he has a strong personality. If betrayed or hurt he won't be the first to try and make up because the veela part of him is too proud. Contrary to his looks he's quite athletic and won't hesitate to defend himself.
