Name: Zander Lightwood

History: Born on 20th of July, Zander was found on the doorstep of an iron ware merchant in the small town of Gillingham on a stormy night. The Shop’s owner, Stephen Lightwood took in the small infant, initially intent on sending him to the local foster care, but on the persistence of his wife, Sybille, he ended up adopting Zander. The Lightwoods didn’t have any children of their own, so they took Zander's arrival as a sign from the lord. They began raising him as their own child, providing and caring for him the best they could. Zander grew up believing the Lightwoods to be his own family. His childhood was mostly normal, but Zander always felt a void in his life always surrounding him. After his eight birthday, things began to get sketchy as weird incidents started to occur. He could do unexplained things such as making notebooks float, pencils write on their own and clothes act like they had a mind of their own.

As a result, his muggle foster parents were left baffled but as a clueless eight year old, this was all fun and games for Zander. Soon clandestine rumours began to circulate around town ending any hope for a normal life for him. His father sent him to live with his aunt, Melanie Lightwood to ensure Zander could avoid all the negative things the Lightwood family was beginning to face. But Zander was very sad. He felt like he was being punished for being a freak of nature and wouldn’t stop crying for days and nights on. The one thing which broke Zander’s constant mood of gloominess was when Melanie revealed to him that she was a wizard, and could do things similar to Zander. She helped Zander overcome his guilt and taught him how to control his ‘powers’. Zander has been living with his aunt for three years now, but the void and emptiness in his life still exists and he still seeks answers for why he is the way he is.


Personality: Zander is a highly intelligent and capable individual. He has a scientific and experimenting mind. He has learned to control his powers better, but still lacks finesse. He likes solving complex problems and gets involved in everyone’s business. Often berated for it, he claims to gets a kick from it. He can analyse situations coolly and comes up with a solution almost immediately. Constantly suspicious of other people, which may be traced to his scarred past experiences. But once he trusts anyone, he grows loyal and caring but very rarely anyone gets involved with him. The reason for this is, that his style of interaction comes across as cold and condescending. He has been misunderstood and beaten up many times. Instead of realizing the error in his social skills, he always donned a haughty and distant attitude while meeting new people which made matters even worse for him.

There are only a few thing Zander prefers doing, when he is not running errands and bunking muggle school. Reading has been his sole solace providing ritual in his life. He avidly reads any novel he could get his hands on. Due to the generosity of his Aunt, he gained access to many different and mysterious books, which ignited his interest towards learning more about magic and wizardry. He also take a lot of pleasure in riddle solving and likes to annoy others by challenging them to tough riddles. Among other things he likes are frequenting snooker tables and spicy foods. Aaron absolutely detests hypocritical people and regards them as scum. He also hated being looked down upon as he usually is by others. He also has mild fear of heights and avoids going to high places if he can.



Physical Description: Zander has moderately good looking traits. He is described as having fine, curly, golden blonde hair, long eyelashes, and eyes that look gold in the light. He has a slim, average build and is about 5'2" in height. His face is often described as being beautiful and angular and Melanie often refers to him as beautiful and leonine, with a narrow mouth. The flaw in his face, as Melanie has noticed, is the slight chip in his incisor teeth. He has a star-shaped birthmark on his left shoulder.
