Ginevra was born to Kazuo Tsuchiya, a Japanese-American, and his Italian wife Maria Rossi. Her father was a wizard and went to Ilvermony School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he was sorted to Horned Serpent. A lifetime learner, he continued his formal education to a muggle university in his hometown Honolulu, Hawaii. Here, he met and befriended a hard-working Muggle girl; and the two fell for each other years later. Through their marriage, Ginevra and her sister Elisa were born.
Baby Ginevra showed signs of magic before she turned one. Once she was put to cot and a minute later, her parents found her sitting on the floor. Another time, she levitated her cousin's doll simply by looking at it.
When Ginevra was six, her family relocated to Guildford, UK due to her mother's rising career. Ginevra, or "Ginny" as nicknamed by her family, was no less happy in Guildford than in Honolulu, but she did (still does) miss the rich sunshine of Hawaii. Thus, she was granted her parents' permission to visit her grandparents in Hawaii twice a year, every summer and winter break. Secretly, deep in her heart, she is always a Hawaiian girl.
Ginevra has always been a creative girl who enjoys art and literature, but upon realising that she would go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, she hopes to be sorted to Hufflepuff instead of Ravenclaw. The reason is because she values fairness, honesty, and loyalty more than creativity or intelligence. Furthermore, she loves animals very much and admires Magizoology pioneer Newt Scamander, who has always fight for animals' rights. Growing up with a loving and harmonious family, too, has made Ginevra a caring and sensitive person.
Now eleven, Ginny grows her blonde hair shoulder-length with a fringe. She likes keeping her hair in pigtails, which her father explained was the typical style of a Japanese schoolgirl. She very much resembles her mother, save for her brown eyes, which she inherited from her father.
