Joanna is reserved, patient, and an active listener. She does things thoroughly and is very smart. She tends to lead with her heart. She thrives when she can learn new things, be in nature, or feels understood by others. Though she's watchful and observant, she is stubborn and has a loud mouth when she feels strongly about something. She has a gift with animals and people, and has a gentle energy. But she is terrible at math, and never seemed to fit in at her old school. Growing up as an only child, Joanna often spent more time writing poetry than interacting with other people. Her mother left when she was seven, but has visited several times since. Joanna's father loves her dearly and she plays games with him whenever he isn't otherwise busy. (Her mother was at Hogwarts, which is part of the reason she left. Her father is a muggle). Joanna does not know much about her mother, and was unaware that Hogwarts existed until she received the letter. Her father answered all of her questions afterwards. However, it's impossible that Joanna will be able to find her mother at Hogwarts due to an accident that happened a year ago. Joanna has very long, curled blonde hair. Her eyes are a dark amber, and she has a round shaped face. Her expression is often introverted, and she is definitely an introvert. She looks like the kind of girl that takes care of and rides horses daily.
In her old school, Joanna began to feel frustrated with the daily activities and her classmates. Like I said, she never seemed to fit in there. After some time, strange things started to take place; tables would fly a few feet off the ground, birds would fly in through the windows and peck at the teachers, or a person would be trying to speak to Joanna but their speech would become a distorted mumble, their mouths seemingly disobedient. This all started when she was eight, but it was small things spaced out. For awhile the strange things disappeared, but a few months past her tenth birthday, they began again. Until, at eleven, the strange things have become more noticeable to the muggles.
Joanna can't wait to attend Hogwarts! She loves learning and is determined to become a skilled student, filling her head with as much knowledge as possible. No doubt she'll read through all the books made available to her. She also has a love for animals, and is anxious to save up for her own pet, probably an owl! : )
