Lucas King grew up with two magical-privy parents in a quiet, reserved part of Greater Manchester. While his father George was out most days on official Ministry business as a valiant and hard-working Auror determined to protect his family and community, his dad Harry owned a small little tourist trinket shop selling knock-off “magical” items to muggles in the area. Originally starting as a little hole-in-the-wall place, A Shop for All Your Magical Desires was soon appraised by the locals as a lovely location filled with mystics and magic, quickly gathering curious muggle crowds who visited the area.

While Lucas’ dads were busy with their jobs, he remained at his home, tutored by a family friend after an incident at the local primary school where his teacher Mrs Pottorf found herself speaking gibberish every time Luke was supposed to be reprimanded. Fine with the change, Lucas made the most out of what he had, perhaps making his poor tutor’s life a living hell in the process. After all, it wasn’t his fault he had al this pent-up energy and nowhere to use it with no nearby friends in the available vicinity.

Lucas always knew he’d be going to Hogwarts, just like both of his dads did, and spent his formative years receiving a wizard’s education, learning the basic history of magic, following the local “celebrities” of the time, and of course, dreaming about Quidditch. At age nine, he received his first broom and, as one can imagine, his tutor/babysitter had a dandy old time chasing him around that summer while he flew around declaring that he was going to become the next Quidditch World Cup Champion. His favourite team is the Appleby Arrows, one of the select few notable teams from northern England.

At age eleven, just like all other witches and wizards his age, Lucas received his letter to Hogwarts. After a great deal of celebration with his dad, Lucas’ books were purchased and he was prepared to set off on the adventure to his new school, hopefully not getting kicked out this time around. Abundant overconfidence and defiance, often saved by his ability to think on his feet. Luke wants to be seen as competent by his peers and won't pass up an opportunity to show off, practically or academically.
