⠀⠀⠀⠀Adeline Staedtler is a lively young wizard, with great eagerness to learn and improve her magical talents. Her mother, Elise Waldner, was a German muggle who now works as a primary school teacher in Newcastle, England. Her father, Isaac Staedtler, was a pureblood wizard and a graduate of Drumstrang Institute. Her parents grew up in the same neighbourhood in Hanover, Germany, and attended the same grade school, before her father discovered his aptitude for magic.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Her parents reconnected as young adults and ended up marrying just after Adeline's older brother Stephan was born. Three years later, Adeline was born. Adeline's parents decided to relocate to England after her birth in hopes that if either of their children grew to be wizards, they would be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Her older brother's eleventh birthday passed, with no sign of his potential magical abilities. Her parents were slightly hopeful that Adeline would pass her eleventh birthday without the appearance of magical abilities so that she could live a normal life with her brother. However, her parents' wishes were quickly dissolved, as at only the age of eight, strange magical occurrences began popping up around their home. It began with the exploding of lightbulbs whenever Adeline got excited, or the rapid growth of their houseplants. Eventually, her magic escalated to a nearly dangerous level, as she learned that she could set objects on fire with her own mind. The final incident was when Adeline momentarily turned her brother into a parrot during Sunday brunch. Before any harm could come to her family or her home, her parents had to break the secret that she was a witch and that on her eleventh birthday she would be able to attend the magical school.

⠀⠀⠀⠀Adeline, who prefers to be called Addie by her closest friends, is a very lively and spirited young girl. She stands only about one hundred and forty centimetres tall, weighing approximately thirty-seven kilos. People say that Adeline greatly resembles her father, with ivory skin, pale grey eyes, and sandy golden hair. One of her most distinctive features is the many freckles that are spattered about her arms and neck, as well as a birthmark in the centre of her right hand.
