Adelaide Hudson, or better known as Addie to those close to her, comes from a small town in England. The world of magic was never kept secret from Adelaide and her siblings, as her father had come from a pure-blood family. Though to her father's parents dismay, he had fallen in love with a muggle girl, and settled down with her to have a family. Adelaide's mother works as a nurse in a muggle hospital, and her father works for the ministry of magic, in the department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Addie has two older sisters, and older brother and one younger brother. The eldest sister graduated from Hogwarts and is working as a healer at St. Mungos Hospital. Her other sister is in year 6, and her older brother in year 4. Her youngest brother is not old enough for Hogwarts yet.

The Hudson family always make sure to stay close together, to protect each other and help one another. Their mother always makes sure of it. They are hard workers, take their studies seriously, and can be quite competitive. But in the end, they always stick together.

Addie gets her carefulness from her mother, but there is a slight bit of curiosity in her that comes out once in a while. She loves learning about new things, and practically lives with her nose in a book. She has no sense of adventure and will think something through a thousand times before making a decision. Flow charts and pros/cons lists are her favourite things. She takes comfort in facts and book knowledge, a lot more than anything practical. Magic does scare her at times, but Adelaide always puts on a brave face and fakes her confidence. 

She's not a very tall girl, standing at 5'3, and having a slim build. She detests having her hair long brown hair in her face, and always has it pinned back, or in braids.
