Astrid was the only child of her wizard parents, Heather and Perciville Hart. Her father worked at the Ministry of Magic, and her mother stayed home to take care of her and the house. Her little family lived in an area of South East London called Greenwich. Because of her father's employment at the Ministry, the family had a good amount of money. They were not fabulously wealthy, just wealthy enough for Astrid to be considered the "rich girl" in her muggle school.

Astrid was a very independent girl, often spending most of her time on her own exploring new places or burying her nose in books. Due to her anti-social nature, she was picked on and never had many friends. But she was content with her life nonetheless. She did well in her classes and still considered herself a normal kid. That is, until her magic surfaced.

When Astrid was nine years old, she was walking home from school when she was suddenly pushed down by one of the students who bullied her. Without even raising a finger, the girl who had pushed her went flying backward. Astrid was no longer just a normal kid. She was a witch. That incident didn't make her school life any easier. In fact, it gave bullies even more reason to call her a freak. Regardless of her rough school life, though, she found ways to be happy in her books and her imagination.

Appearance
Astrid was always very skinny, no matter how much she eats, but what she lacks in weight, she makes up for in height, standing at 5'2' tall. Her light brown hair is streaked with golden highlights and cut into a short bob and her eyes are a piercing, light blue.

Personality
Astrid is shy and independent, often preferring the company of animals or books over other people. She is generally fearless and will not hesitate to leap headfirst into danger. Despite her daring nature, she has a difficult time making friends due to her unwillingness to share about herself. But once her trust has been earned, and it must be earned, she is very loyal and will defend her friends against anything and anyone.
