Quinn Brooks grew up in an orphanage in London but was born in Manchester. Though she didn't know it, her parents had placed her in that orphanage for a reason, for it was a magical orphanage. Due to her parents being Muggles, they decided the witches who ran the orphanage would take care of their Quinn better than they ever could attempt. So, Quinn grew up with fellow orphaned Muggle-born witches and wizards, fitting in not-so-nicely.

At first, Quinn thought she wasn't magical like the kids around her. While they were making their food float around them, she stared at her porridge as it sat in its bowl. It wasn't until she accidentally set her bed sheets on fire when holding them while crying to realize she was just like her friends. However, this didn't help her begin to fit in.

Quinn was and remains a shy child, speaking only when spoken to and replying in short bursts. She doesn't seek to gain attention from anyone, slinking in the background of everyone's lives around her. While she enjoys adventures and activities, especially Gobstones, she rarely asks anyone to join her, preferring to go alone, though she won't fight the company if they join on their own accord.

With black hair and eyes, Quinn is someone whose looks are not that memorable, aiding to her goal to not stick out in a crowd of people. While tan for someone who prefers to move around at night, Quinn's skin still radiants a hint of youth, even while she ages in matureness very quickly due to sticking to herself to survive.

Quinn is never found without her journal attached to her hip, in which she writes everything around her. Instead of speaking to someone, she can be found writing her replies and sharing them, believing speaking is a hassle she doesn't want a part of.

It's easy to become her friend. All one must do is enjoy company in silence while going on adventures, and then maybe, just maybe, Quinn will talk to you.
