At approximately 136cm tall, Rowan is slightly small for his age and is often thought of as younger than he is. His immature attitude doesn't contribute to this misconception, though he tends not to mind, as it sometimes helps him get away with behaviors for which he may otherwise be scorned, and he enjoys surprising others by suddenly being more knowledgable or well-behaved than they expected. Tousled, mousey hair adorns his head and often contains bits of twigs, ferns, and moss from exploring the woods near his home. An excited grin seldom leaves his face, as he is continuously enthralled by the constant wonders of the world around him.
Though a half-blood born to a non-magical father, Sean, and a magical mother, Ava, Rowan's magic is only just now beginning to demonstrate itself. With an apparent natural talent for divination, Rowan occasionally has premonitions of events which are soon to occur, though most of these events have been limited to embarrassing situations which happen almost immediately after his vision-- like that time when he spilled hot soup on his lap at the O'Brien's wedding.
Having just received his invitation to Hogwarts, Rowan has hardly been able to sleep, and neither has his mother, as a constant torrent of questions and speculation has been flooding his mind and pouring out of his mouth since reading the letter. Obviously proud, Ava has done her best to sate his curiosity about what to expect over the next few years, and his father has been happy to assist in any way that he can.
