Ansalma Estella (Salma to her friends, or basically everyone except the especially formal and her mother) is... not thrilled to be going to Hogwarts.
Born into a wizarding family ((yes, I know it says she's a half blood, I wanted to change it almost immediately but I can't figure out how)) Salma always grew up assuming that she would attend her mother's alma mater Beauxbatons Academy, as she'd been hearing about it her whole life and having had the chance to visit it once it just felt right. Of course, she grew up in many places, following her parent's careers where they took the family (the life of a magical ambassador and a celebrated witch movie star has its trials) but when it came time to receive her Hogwarts letter Salma was back in Ireland near Gallway, living in the house where she'd been born and raised between assignments. This put her in the right place to be accepted into her father's old school instead of her expected French getaway and she was furious. Why would she want to go to some stupid old school her father had barely bothered to attend anyway (Castor took advantage of liberal exchange opportunities so that he spent more time away from the castle than inside it)?
Salma's relationship with her parents is strained, even now. Electra is very ambitious and prone to not caring about things that do not directly impact her or her career. Castor truly does love Salma, however, he is unsure of how to be a parent and less sure about how to relate to his eleven-year-old daughter so while he has good intentions and attempts to be there for her, he falls a bit short.
Salma's is very fair in general. Her hair floats the line between white and platinum blonde, her skin is pale with light pinks and blues and her eyes are silver. Usually, Salma leaves her hair cut just down to her upper back, but she recently decided to try and cut it herself so now it falls just short of her shoulders and almost always looks wild and a little uneven, but she makes it work. She prefers big headphones and denim, and curates a look she refers to as "Punk Versailles" ((she's 11, ok, she'll cringe about it later)). Salma is of average height and weight for her age, but she has already started to develop physically, even if the changes are slight.
Salma is protective, dramatic, and full of more than a little preteen angst. She is free-spirited and worldly, but has more raw talent for what her mother might call "soft magicks" or "dream magicks". That is things that seem to be somehow connected to the idea of image and the ethereal. This presents itself so far in her accidental magical usage. Noted cases include her tendency to transform muggle pennies she found into small frogs at three, and then at five Castor having recorded Salma unknowingly having divined something entirely innocent but impossible.
