Calyptia Lynch
Status:
Wizard born
Nationality:
English
Residence:
Chester, England
Function:
First year, Gryffindor
Wand:
30,3 cm chestnut wood and phoenix feather
Personality/Appearance :

With her large protruding ears, small size and slender body, Calyptia does not impose respect at first sight. But make no mistake about it, that doesn't stop her from being a girl with strong ideas. Feminist as she likes to describe herself!
Deeply convinced of the superiority of her thinking and the idiocy of others, she nevertheless refrains from displaying it and prefers to show her sociable side. That is to say his open, kind and sometimes a little naive side (but, only with the people she trusts).
Finally, her friends appreciate her diplomacy, the adults her politeness and her sister, can no longer stand this "nervousness that never leaves you and stops playing with that pen"!

History :
Calyptia lived throughout her youth between the wizard world (as the daughter of two witches, Ellen and Amy) and the Muggle world (at school, "in order to develop your open-mindedness"). So, she can talk about the great Harry Potter as much as she can talk to you about the latest applications on her "phone" or explain to you this strange machine that is the microwave. To be perfectly honest, the total immersion in the wizard's world scares her more than anything else. She fears not being up to the task, failing in her studies.... She still can't control a broom (the height for a quidditch referee girl), how could she succeed at Hogwarts? Calyptia was far from the image of the expected talented witch. The comparison with her older sister (an example in terms of success) was all the more painful. Calyptia, lucid, knew that she would have to be discreet for the practical parts of her (futur!) lessons. The metamorphosis particularly promised to be epic in view of its more than limited capacities!

First sign of magic
To her great disappointment, the first manifestation of her powers was neither glorious nor epic. They didn't wake up to save someone's life, or even to protect something, no, it was Calyptia's story so they showed up to... bother someone. Her sister, to be precise. It was during the year of her 9 years old, in August. The heat was overwhelming, so the two sisters naturally decided to go swimming. They were both heckling in the water of the Dee River. As Calyptia had her arms suspended in the air, ready to bend down to splash her poor victim - which means Kathleen - , a small wave, coming from her, rose from the water to fall against her sister.
It wasn't an action really impressive.
