Adrian Birch grew up on a small farm just outside of Rye, England. The Birch home is situated on ten acres of pasture and five acres of crops (They farm your typical muggle crops-beets, potatoes, corn, tomatoes, and peppers). His parents traveled across the world with him when he was a young child and his first experience with magic was when they took him to a Romanian dragon park. The Birch home is rustic and made completely out of wood that is magically sealed to keep cold air out. It has a warm and bright atmosphere on the inside and has a total of 3 floors as well as an attic. Adrian's bedroom is on the third floor and the entrance to the attic is perpendicular to his poster of the Canterbury Canaries (His favorite quidditch team). He loves to explore what is in the attic, and once found his great-great grandfather's old wand. His love of exploration and curiosity is what excites him about going to Hogwarts.

Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore. Andre Gide

His parents, Melinda and Andrew Birch, are some of the most open and hospitable folk around. They got married when Melinda was 21, and when Andrew was 23. Melinda and Andrew went to Hogwarts together and they were both in Hufflepuff. They excelled at academics and were prefects as well as head boy and head girl. Andrew and Melinda played Quidditch every single year at Hogwarts, and Hufflepuff finally won the Quidditch Cup their 7th year. Andrew was beater and Melinda was a chaser.

Melinda works as a medic at St. Mungo's and loves it there. Her caring and loving personality is appreciated by all the people she treats there. Andrew works for the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Transportation. He is head of the Portkey Office and thoroughly enjoys his job.

You see Adrian, I used to be pretty athletic in my younger years. I could dash from one end of the field to the other knocking a beater so hard it practically hit the castle. Well... know... Let's just say that I discovered your mum's homemade berry pie. Andrew Birch
