Jesse is empathetic and is quite nurturing. He doesn't take bullying of any kind lightly, and can have a bit of a hot head towards certain situations. He is a genuine guy, and has a knack of being a romantic sap. He fully embraces his emotions and isn't afraid to show them around anyone-emotions to him not only prove being human, but just further solidify being alive. Though he is open about his emotions, he does have a tendency of keeping a lot of his troubles to himself. He feels that his own issues would be a burden if thrown onto someone else. In his free time, Jessie loves to watch anime and making stories.

Jesse is a Scottish, light-skinned boy with curly dark brown hair. His left eye is green and his right eye is blue due to heterochromia. Jesse stands at 4'8 and has a feminine look to him. He's slim, fit and speaks in a thick, Scottish accent. Jesse usually wears brightly colored clothes or shirts with designs on them.

Jesse was adopted as a baby and taken in by a Scottish family, who raised him as a girl. He had an older sister and a much younger brother. His mother is a tea trolley server and his father is a writer. Jesse was the only adopted child, but he never felt left out by this fact, as his mother made it clear that she loved him just as much as his siblings. He attended an all-girls school, which he felt out of place in.

This lead Jesse to temporarily go into a rebellious stage, mainly because he didn't understand the discomfort that he was feeling. Jesse was looked at as a true weirdo among his peers. He hated wearing skirts so much that he started wearing track pants under his uniform. After being picked on for his greasy hair, he shaved it all off and went through most of his school days bald.

It wasn't until 4th grade that his parents took him to a therapist in an attempt to fix his behavior. Jesse ended up getting a diagnosis of anxiety and gender dysphoria. His parents had no concept of what the latter meant and spent a lot of time researching and trying to educate themselves on gender dysphoria so they could help Jesse become his true self. His mom was prepared for a lot of change, but to her surprise, all Jesse wanted was different pronouns. Slightly fearful of having anything put in his son's body, and too busy to jump through the medical hoops, his father didn't think it was the right time for him to go on hormone blockers. Since he came out, he's been training his voice to be deeper and presenting exclusively as male full-time, so he doesn't feel as much dysphoria as he did before.

Since then, Jesse usually spent his days watching anime and attending comic cons. He also recently found out that he has a talent for writing, which led to him finding a hobby writing fanfiction. Eventually, it was time for him to attend Hogwarts, and now he's here, trying to pass his classes while finishing yet another collection of manga.

One day after school in 4th grade, Jesse witnessed a group of boys bullying some girls in his class. He ended up panicking and literally tackled one of them, which ended up in him getting beat up. Jessie made their feet stick to the ground before they could do any real damage, which gave him enough time to report them to the teacher.
