Elizabeth Leino (Lizabeth or Liz or Liza) is a Swedish/British child. Her family immigrated from Sweden when her mother was a child. She is mixed-race with very long brown hair and tan skin. She has a beauty make under her right eye. She needs glasses and she has a mystery genetic condition affecting her joints so she needs to use a cane to walk. She has been checked out by magical doctors but since they don't know the source of the problem, it's tricky to treat.

Her father is a muggle. He and her mother met when they were young and wild. They are no longer together but Lizabeth sees her father every summer. He knows that her mother is a witch.

She knows some Swedish but English is her first language. She first showed signs of magic when she was playing with her dolls and was able to make them move, matilda style. She can't do that anymore.

She is 11 years old and is hoping to make friends at Hogwarts but she is very nervous. She's never been very good at making friends. She's on the shy side. She does hope to learn a lot about magic. She has had somewhat of an education from her mother and grandmother and grandfather but they are all very excited for her to have a real education at school.
