At eleven years old, Freyr stands five foot five, quite tall for his lithe frame. Weighing in at around one hundred and two pounds. Light brown hair with blue eyes, a scar over his left eyebrow (and a little through it) from an accident from when he was a child. He plans on being able to become tough enough to not lose to any other kid again. Or an adult for that matter. Or anybody! Though he doesn't pick fights, he just doesn't want to lose them. And he is an honourable fighter, never attacking someone with their backs to him. No point in that.

Born & raised in Galway, Ireland, Freyr has spent his time running up and down the streets as a child. Getting into fights with the older boys in the neighbourhood, always being called scrawny and weak even if he was taller then some of them. His father was an Irish mechanic named Billy Burke, and his mother was an Icelandic foreigner who had come over and fallen in love with Billy. Her name was Sigrun Ólafsdóttir. She had left Iceland for love, and for marrying someone her family didn't approve of. Such is the way when people try and tell you what to do.

Freyr wasn't immediately a fighter, his rough and tough upbringing was brought about by his father. Telling him to fight back and to always make sure he is the only one who walks away from a fight. Not as in killing them, but enough so that he is the victor in the fight. An Irishman doesn't lose a fight or back down from one. That is something that Freyr has learned from his father and tries to do his best. To stick up to the bullies and to make sure that they can't put him down anymore with their fists and their words.

When Freyr was eight years old, during one of the bullying sessions he had that day that some of the kids decided to put him through, he had a moment of absolute wonder and horror. The nearby water started to freeze and the air grew colder, yet his body grew warm with the anger that he felt towards the group of boys. The sky started to cloud over and rain fell, yet nothing happened beyond the cooling of the ground and the air around them, and how smoke rose from young Freyr. The group of boys ran to the hills because that was weird as hell.

A short while later, he would be yelled at by his mother who would then proceed to tell him about his heritage, and what that means for someone like them. This, of course, opened up a little conversation between Billy and Sigrun, as she never told him about magic or that their son would have it. A shocker for the Burke household all around! To which prompted them a visit from some magical folk telling him all the problems have been corrected. And in a few years time, just around his 11th birthday, he would be given a letter via an owl, a letter to Hogwarts.
