Eliana was the only child born to Gilda and Robert Ostergard. Her father was a Norwegian Wizard that attended Durmstrang, moving to the UK when he started up his own Financial Firm that catered to a strict magical clientele. Her mother was a Scottish Witch that attended Hogwarts, they met shortly after Robert moved to the UK and fell in love almost instantly.
They had Eliana shortly after they got married and couldn't be happier to bring their first child in the world. She was raised with all of love that a girl could ask for. Her family was Pureblood and certain things were expected of Eliana growing up but her mother did her best to help her along the way without losing herself.
Eliana learned the proper etiquette when they were invited out for events, or even held their own from time to time. She knew how to greet others and keep her families name clean, but when she was at home she was allowed to do and be who she wanted.
When she turned 6 years old her magical abilities manifested when Eliana levitated a snack she couldn't reach from one of the higher shelves. Her parents were happy, not so much that she had tried to sneak a snack but that she would be following in their footsteps.
She was a fun loving child, enjoying spending her time outside with a good book, learning as much as she could. She loved reading, loved to learn about things that she didn't know before. All in all her life was a great as she could ask for.
When she turned 9 years old her mother got sick and was moved to a long term wing at St. Mungos. Eliana visited her mother as often as she could, her father bringing her at least 3 times a week if not more. Each time she went her mother seemed to get worse and worse and by the time Eliana was 10 her mother was gone.
It was a tough blow loosing her mother that young and it hit her hard, but it had hit her father harder. He started to drink, handing over the reigns of his company to his CFO but keeping his name on it. He pulled away from Eliana, didn't even go with her to Diagon Alley to get her school supplies when she got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. She had gone with one of the women who helped around the house.
Going into her first year with no mother and a father that was barely there was hard for anyone to handle, but Eliana focused on the fact that she was going to the school her mother had gone to and she was going to be around other children.
She is tall for an 11 year old girl, standing at a about 5 feet tall. She had light brown hair and striking ice blue eyes. Her skin was a snowy white complexion from her Scandinavian and Scottish background. Her attire showed her blood status and families obvious wealth. This was one of the things she loved about her family having money, liking to look good.
