Luna is shy, kind, rationally cynical, slightly OCD, with a razor sharp wit and always the first to try and push herself to be the top of anything she tries academically. Her father Marcus Ludal is a high ranking official in the M.O.M lending her to the pressure of preforming as well as he had in school. Her mother Rose Ludal is a kind, sensitive, free spirit that runs a small bakery in down town Blaenplwyf after leaving Ireland to be with her father after school. She usually contrasts her husband's cold, logical cynicism, loathing of general socializing, and a strong distaste of change in any form."She keeps me from freezing over, and I keep her from floating away into those clouds her heads always in." Marcus would often joke at dinner parties. The only thing they sometimes seemed to share was a love for Luna even if they show it in different ways.

Luna shares her mothers raven black hair, and slim frame, coupled with her fathers piercing, ice chip blue eyes, and fair complexion. Her magic surfaced when ,at nine years old while helping her mom cook, a hard to reach sack of flower, on the top shelf, became quite reachable as she floated up to it ,and preceded to plummet the 3 feet back to the ground after reaching her goal.

Her parents were proud as many are, and soon Luna found herself swept up in the expectations and well wishes of her family and friends as her 11th birthday rolled around and her letter was received. Phrases like "Just like your father," and " Sharp as your old man I'd expect." still rang in her head even as she left to buy school supplies.

All the same her excitement can barely be contained. As she grew up pure blood, Her father had often warned she was surrounded by what he called "Mudbloods." which applied to most everyone she knew in town. Her father told her stories of how these mudbloods or "muggles", as her mother called them, had treated their kind, and almost drove them to extinction. "They cant be trusted. even those little filthy things you play with. One whiff of magic and those mudbloods would have you tied to a stake and heaping up the bonfire wood." he'd mutter when she'd come home from playing with the boys and girls in the neighborhood. Her mother would frown and exhale sharply, but would remain silent.

This, coupled with her private education, led her to slowly distance herself from anybody even remotely muggle. Friends she'd once had eventually quit knocking on her door, and she became a very lonely girl.
The only time she ever felt safe around others was around fellow wizards or witches at dinner parties or when she went to work with her dad, but this was a whole school of people just like her. Where she didn't need to conceal or hold anything back. Where they wont hurt you for being different. where she could go out and not be fearful. Luna was ready for that. very ready.
