Basic Information

Name: Aisling Rivers
Nickname: Ash
Age: Eleven
Date of Birth: January 5th, 2007
Hometown: Lismore, Ireland

Physical Appearance

Ash has flaming red hair that falls above her ribs in straight, wispy strands. Her eyes are chestnut brown and her face in covered in many prominent freckles. Ranking slightly lower than most of her peers, Ash stands at a height of 4'3". When she isn't wearing her robes, she tends to wear the jumper that her mother passed down to her; a navy knit fabric with a small embroidered star where the pocket should be. Ash can also often be seen with a gold, simple ring on her middle finger; gifted to her by her grandfather when his wife passed away.

Personality

Ash is very perfectionistic and is very good at finding solutions to intricate problems, but when it comes to common sense, she struggles. She finds it hard to focus in class when learning about topics that don't interest her and gets frustrated when she can't figure things out on her own. She loves crafting and making things from scratch, focusing on every little detail. Ash also loves playing Camogie with her friends back home. However, Ash finds it hard to speak up and engage in conversation without a written plan of what to say because she is scared of not living up to everyone's expectations.

Before Magic

Ash was born on January 5th, 2007 to Adara and Channe Rivers. Her parents moved to Lismore before her birth to allow her to grow up in a rural area. Ash began to walk at 9 months and took to running as a child to get to where she thought she needed to be. Her brother, Aeden was born one year after her and the two formed a special bond. At the end of the fourth grade, Ash was identified as academically "extraordinary" which caused tremendous pressure on her to live up to such expectations. While she was able to finish a math problem quickly or read fourth grade books in the first grade, Ash struggled to connect with the other students as she grew older. She always felt like something was missing.

Finding her Magic

Ash was never very proud when it came to her accomplishments, so it isn't surprising that she barely noticed any kind of power she had. She usually concluded that the odd movement of the ball (in her favour) in Camogie was just an odd coincidence. However, she finally recognized that she was peculiar when she was feeling lonely and separated form the other kids. Her small golden ring gleamed as she traced it with her finger. Tears in her eyes.
