An adorable, pure-blooded, ebony lad of 11 years old, Forrester Hawking falls prey to the call of the wild idea. Or in laymen's terms, much unlike his parents, he is more fond of nature than the study of dark arts. Magical creatures, regular animals, and even muggles intrigue the boy to much delight. Though possible to change, he's already decided that he wants to explore the world as a researcher of magical creatures. It was a career he discovered in one of the dark books in his family's petite bookstore located in Knockturn Alley. Romanced by the idea, Forrester even imagines himself living in the wilderness as a minimalist among whatever magical creatures may cross his path. Knowing that his parents could never be fond of this idea, he has yet to openly confess his dream. However, there were unfortunate times were his parents have caught inklings of his future aspirations. A talk still has failed to come up because of such findings.

The eldest of three, followed by a girl only a year younger and baby boy two years younger, their parents naturally preached that Forrester would be the one to take over the family business. Which, resulted in his sister's envy and his brother's admiration—two sides of the same coin surprisingly enough. Though they all have their differences, the Hawkings get along quite well. Not quite dark wizards, just dark historians, Forrester adopted more than a respect but a love for history. Once threatened to have their shop burned down to the ground, Skylar and Fox Hawking—Forrester's mother and father respectively, arranged for their children to say with their grandparents. This was due to their devotion to preserving history. They were willing to protest by remaining within their establishment whenever it was to be set ablaze.

Luckily that scenario never came into fruition.

A source of both pride and embarrassment for Forrester is the wild hairline he shares with his father. Neither his brother or his sister sport such a jagged edge like him. His father often claims that this is due to their will to do whatever it takes to discover and protect the truth. Empowering, those words of his father always motivated him. Though when separated from his old man, and instead surrounded with peers that would tease him, it was hard to remain dignified. Playing the victim has never been apart of Forrester's character though. In fact, he is quite the perpetrator. The worst mixture of cynical and sarcastic,  when in need for a good laugh, he isn't afraid to antagonize his enemies or rivals pettily. He does generally refrain from the innocent except for when they standing in his way (I.e. A prefect just doing their job will not be spared of his sharp tongue nor his hexes). A poor tendency of his is to bark up more than he can chew. This is most commonly shown by him verbally assaulting a large group or those several years his senior. It was a moment quite like this when his family first discovered his magical capabilities.

Upon requesting his mother to get him a book he couldn't reach from a high shelf, she refused. Claiming the content of the material was too mature for him. Enraged and flustered, Forrester stomped his foot repetitively and the book fell onto his mothers head, bouncy on top of her crown with every stomp.
