Sherry Ashford was born into a family consists of a lovely pure -blood witch and an extraordinary muggle - born wizard. Sherry's skin was quite pale, like carpets of pure white snow over the ground. She inherited her silky indigo blue hair from her mother and her large golden eyes from her father. They were a small, but happy family. Her father was absolutely... unique, he would jokes all the time, create funny pranks and even dragged her into his mischievous scheme. Her mother was extremely gentle, she would tell her bedtime stories every night, never punish her for any crimes she ever did, and made the best food around the neighborhood. Even if it was April Fools, Sherry would never, ever say that she was unhappy while growing up.

Sherry was an intelligent child, as her grades and academic performances were higher than her peers. Despite being very shy and rarely engaged in conversation, she still got a liking from her classmates from all the brilliant ideas she manufactured. Though, this come with responsibilities and pressure she have to deal with. Managing her academic scores, socializing with others, being a leader, and helping with projects. This create some stress that she never experienced before, and makes her really anxious.

But her father would stay up late at night to teach her about many new thing, and her mother would encourage her whenever she felt like giving up. This takes the pressure pressing on her shoulders down, and let her enjoy the relaxation and happiness her parents brought to her. " I can never, ever, ever dreamed of a better life than this. " she remember saying to her parents while they were having dinner, and her father starts to ruined the moment by joking about every single thing. " Okay, papa, way to ruin our happy family time. " Sherry said sarcastically and they burst into laughter.

At the age of 7, Sherry began to developed a liking to the mysterious, yet interesting thing called witchcraft. She study a few spell books and realized that she was very interested in the world of magical wonders. Her mother and father were very supportive and even helped her with the studying and surprisingly, Sherry absorbed everything into her head like a giant, mobile sponge.

" Elaine, our child will soon become a PAW - some witch just like you! And Sherry, no PURR - CATS - tinate. "

" Thomas, no. No puns allowed while she is studying, look at her face, she seem like she would explode at any moment! "

And so, she mastered a few basic spells. Though using the term " BASIC ", it wasn't easy to just say it out loud and boom, you've mastered it. It took Sherry a few weeks to even start casting one, and results aren't very positive the first hundred times. But she was persistent just as she was stubborn, so she kept going anyway.

One night, her mother found a letter from an owl. They all went to the kitchen, sat down and read what it said and who it was from. They were surprised, and Sherry could feel excitement and joy overflowing her heart and coiling around her system. It was from Hogwarts, and it was an invitation to join other talented witches and wizards at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
