Looks: Jackie Chandler is a redhead with brown eyes, a wiry body, and freckles covering her face. She’s slim, but not necessarily strong or flexible. She’s 4’9” tall (about 149 centimeters). Her hair is a light-copper red that’s soft to touch because of all the conditioner and shampoo she uses. Despite saying that she doesn’t care much about outward appearance, she makes sure her hair is in absolute perfect condition. While she doesn’t use makeup, her cleanliness is something she’d fret about. What she wears aside from her school uniform is usually something casual like a sweater. She loves sweaters.

Backstory & Magic: Jackie Chandler grew up in Kensington with her mother and father; Mr and Mrs Chandler, and has lived there all her life. Her birthday is March 11th, 2007. Jackie has grandparents, but they both live in America, so she doesn’t see them often. But, for those few times that she has, Jackie has picked up on a lot of American slang words and cultural norms. Her parents weren’t wary of muggles, so Jackie learned not to act hostile or unfriendly around them either. She even befriended a few, her best friend being none other than the muggle Olive Bennet, who’s also attending Hogwarts with her. Jackie and Olive knew each other since they were two years old. They’re practically inseparable! Both Mrs and Mr Chandler had wealthy jobs; Mrs Chandler being a potioneer, and Mr Chandler being a dragonologist. Because of this, Jackie knows quite a bit about potions and dragons. Mr and Mrs Chandler didn’t really discipline Jackie often, most likely because of their time consuming jobs, so she did almost whatever she wished to with Olive. This wasn’t exactly good parenting, but her parents didn’t abuse her or neglect her in any other way. However, because of this method, she never paid attention in her muggle primary school, even though she excelled in the classes she put effort in. Nothing seemed interesting to her except for science. Giving up with all other activities seemed more rewarding to her. Jackie first discovered her magical abilities while she was reading - she accidentally set fire to the book at an exciting moment, which both ruined the book and her hopes and dreams for that spectacular ending. She felt much better after her parents bought her a new copy and blatantly informed her that she was just a wizard.

Personality: Due to Jackie’s oblivious parents, she was able to do quite a lot without getting in trouble. This gave her a lot of independence and sass, but not much wisdom or poise. She may be intelligent, but she sure doesn’t make good decisions! Giving up is also her specialty, especially if she dislikes what she’s doing. This mentality will likely carry into Hogwarts, where she’ll enjoy potions class and almost nothing else. Jackie could ace Hogwarts and easily get into a high-paying job like ‘The Ministry of Magic’ if she put forth more effort. But guess what? She doesn’t care. She’s wasting her potential and she doesn’t even know it. Unsurprisingly, when she does find an activity she’s interested in she obsesses over it for a month or two, and then gives up on it. The only things she hasn’t given up on at all is chemistry, potion-making, baking, and reading. Jackie tends to be a calm and collected person in nearly any situation, although her actions in that situation can seem brash. She can be troublesome when bored. If you meet Jackie for the first time, she is generally kind and a good-listener. She’s quick to become dismissive if she doesn’t like someone. For those she does like, she can be generous and helpful. Of course, no one can top Olive. They’ll be causing quite a lot of trouble on and out of school grounds. The only thing holding her back from most dangerous activities is her fear of hospitals.
