Leia Naomi Forney was born in San Francisco, California in America on September 10th, 2007. Her parents, Louis Forney and Carla Torres, met at a college graduation party and ended up having her without planning in their early twenties. Although they tried to work things out, they couldn't overcome their disagreements and Carla had custody over her daughter. Louis, having graduated, moved to England to live with his family on his father's side, sending money to help support his only child. As she grew up, Leia began to take more after her father than her mother, in appearance and actions, and her mother hated this. Her mother wasn't doing very well financially, unlike her father, so eventually he went to court in order to help support Leia and then he gained custody over her.

Over the years Leia took trips back and forth between her parents, just to keep in touch and have a somewhat balanced life, although they were in two different countries. None of her parents wanted to have children so she didn't have to worry about any siblings bothering her about her predicament. Leia got her magic from her mother's side of the family. The Torres' are an old wizard family that originated from Mexico and nearly everyone in the family received their powers, usually between seven and ten years old. In Leia's case she received her powers at nine, when her Aunt Frida lost her engagement ring in the pool and she blasted all of the water out of it, soaking everything within twenty feet of the pool. Leia's very embarrassed about this, since her mother had her first experience by making her origami swans fly in the air around her classroom when she was in fifth grade.

Although Leia resembles her father more according to her mother, she actually seems to take almost equally from them both. She has wavy brown hair and brown eyes. She's tall for her age, at 5'2 and 110 lbs, with clear, warm skin that never seems to break out, her facial structure is angular and round, her nose is slightly arched at the bone, and she has luscious, thick pink lips. The only thing she really doesn't like that comes from her father's side is from taking after his big feet. But Leia takes more than a few features from her mother. Her eyes are chocolate brown and upturned, unlike her fathers almond-shaped blue eyes. -her lashes are thick and long, like her eyebrows, which are thick and a little darker than her hair color. The most noticeable traits are that she has the same charming smile and a cleft in her chin, just like her mother.

Although Leia liked the beaches and the heat in California, she loved England more than the States. The main reason was because she spent more time there, only going to visit her mother during some holidays and three weeks out of the summer. Since her father was a busy muggle lawyer working on cases without any other children to entertain his daughter, Leia found herself having to spend time with kids around her neighborhood, her cousins, and mostly her grandmother, who she spent the night over at during the weekends. Her Grandma Caroline, who she's very close with, loves to read books about nearly everything and even taught Leia how to read, encouraging her to broaden her imagination. She particularly loved mystery and adventure books, and during the wintertime she like to read by the fire.

Leia is growing up to be a quite interesting girl. Her mother is a feisty, quick-tempered, energetic, and determined woman who doesn't like being showed up. Her father is a quiet, charming, intelligent, and observant man who doesn't like ignorant people. Leia is a mixture of the two. Although she's impatient, teases a lot, and can be judgemental, Leia just wants to be her best without wasting valuable time and wants to make others feel good, sometimes in her own way. Judging others is her own way of understanding people and her surroundings, even if her reasons can seem mean. Being observant like her father, Leia notices almost everything and tries not to give too much away about her ownself, although she can slip up, since she secretly wants everyone to think she's the best at anything she can do. Although she wants to be thought of as the best, she doesn't really like to boast, unless she's in a playful mood, she's a humble person and likes to give others credit.

Leia likes to be organized and neat, but it depends on how much she cares about the area she wants to keep tidy. Even though her room is dirty and unkempt, her schoolwork and handwriting is nearly perfect. Her hair and clothing might be well-groomed but she could eat sloppy while dining, but that's usually when she doesn't feel self-conscious. Leia is insecure, she pays attention to insignificant details and she concerns herself with what other people think of her, but if she feels like someone knows this, she can get sassy and pretend she doesn't care about what other people think. She usually sticks to her own opinions with a tight grip, unless she feels like someone else's reasons are logical.

Currently Leia Forney lives in Rawtenstall, England with her father Louis Forney, who communes to London and other busy areas around Europe for work as a renown lawyer. Her mother, Carla Torres, bounces between many jobs but recently she's landed a job working as an editor for a startup blogging company. Her father, along with her grandmother, knows about Leia being a witch but he doesn't speak of it much, even though he believes she is one out of proven evidence. He left her mother to handle the schooling duties concerning Hogwarts, since it was from her side in which she received her magical blood.
