Hi!
My name is Xyllia (my big sister calls me Xylophone, so I answer to that too!). I was born in Glasgow, but I've grown up a little bit all over the place, mostly in Eastern Europe. My mom is a diplomat with the Ministry of Magic, and my dad is an licensed ESL teacher, but he stays at home mostly (sometimes he volunteers at after-school programs).
I spent most of my childhood in Ukraine, with a few years in Poland and Moldova here and there. I showed magic fairly early, but it was nothing remarkable. I would often slightly dampen the noise when the world got to loud, or dim the lights when they were too bright, or make the tags on my sweaters and seams on my socks disappear without a trace. One time, not long ago, I dipped my hands in this fun homemade slime and pulled them out completely clean!
I'm the second child in a house of four, an older sister and two brothers. So far, I'm the only one who has shown any sign of magic. My mother, the witch in our family, considered teaching me at home, especially considering all our traveling. But it just wasn't practical. She is working most of the time and my dad can't exactly teach me magic, him being a Muggle and all. So they made the decision to enroll me in Hogwarts.
I'm going to miss my family a lot, especially my sister. But I'm pretty independent, and I can't wait to meet all of you!
