Dakota is a boy who keeps to himself at most times. He is the type of person to confide in books rather than people. Being a muggle born, he wasn’t sure of what to think of the wizarding world. He’d heard stories before but never believed them very much. Being here now, in a world of magic he’d never seen, had him a bit home sick. He’d never been treated well because he was different. He liked to wear bright colors and have his hair the same way. His mother had never been opposed, loving that he expressed himself so colorfully despite what people told him. His father, on the other hand, was never as supportive. His father believed he was the opposite of how a boy should be and never treated him very well. Dakota never thought much of it, his mother always told him it was okay to be different and he stuck by that instead of listening to his father. He was glad to leave his home when his letter came but now he was alone in a new place and he didn’t feel comfortable any longer. He kept an owl close and wrote letters often despite the fact that very few were meant to be sent. His striking blue eyes were always filled with wonder and excitement for life. He wanted to know everything about the wizarding life but didn’t know exactly how to do so.
