Physical DescriptionMental DescriptionAdéla is a beautiful girl with a feminine look about her. She has long, dark brown hair that hangs loosely from the sides of her head and passes beyond her shoulders, and her hair can either be left to its natural state or well-styled when she needs to make an impression. Her brown eyes are framed by her long eye lashes while she has high cheek bones and delicate facial features. She is fair skinned with a slightly warm complexion, and she has a graceful look about her which makes her easily noticeable.
She has an average height with a slender frame. Adéla is proud of her looks and normally dresses well although she doesn’t obsess much about looking perfect. In Hogwarts, Adéla still dresses nicely even when she is in the school’s uniform.BiographyAdéla is calm, observant, and much more perceptive than one might guess at first glance. She usually likes to observe the situation before deciding how to react to it, making sure she understands the people involved before letting them get closer to her. Adéla is smart and ambitious girl; she has high standards for herself and is eager to prove what she is capable of doing instead of just resting on her family's laurels.
She can be quite reserved when it comes to strangers, but this doesn't necessarily mean that she is shy. Having got to know somebody well enough, Adéla can be quite humorous, albeit rather sarcastic and dry. She has an opinion about everything and doesn't like being patronized; her pride can sometimes make her too stubborn, as she can feel underappreciated.
Despite her calm demeanor, Adéla is quite loyal to her family members; even though she might have a hard time showing it verbally, she is a very attentive person who can prove it by her deeds. Though she is not fond of unnecessary drama, Adéla won't hesitate to stand up for those she cares about, should there be such a need.
Adéla is far from cruel; but her looks, stare and attitude, and the sense of manner can be mistaken,First Instance of MagicAdéla Dianne Fernández was born into a respected pureblood family. She was the daughter of Ramirena Mariano Fernández and Christopher Joshua Adkins. Right from her early years, she was brought up in an environment where magic, tradition and history were an integral part of her day to day existence.
The house in which she was brought up was comfortable and well-maintained, filled with generations worth of family belongings and photographs. She was always surrounded by stories of the people in her family and their role in the world of wizards. Though her parents expected her to know the importance of her heritage, they always wanted her to build an identity of her own without just becoming another Fernández.
She was relatively sheltered during her childhood years. Her life involved meeting many members of her family along with other wizarding children at various functions where she slowly came to know about how complicated the relations in pureblood society could become. Very soon, she found herself being adept in understanding the atmosphere of the place and knowing when to talk or not.
The most important person that influenced Adéla besides her parents was her mother, as the latter always fostered her curiosity and independence, whereas her father taught her the importance of discipline and self-sufficiency. None of the parents considered her incompetent because of her age, but they were counting on her taking the responsibility for her actions.
In addition to those in her family, Adéla had a circle of friends. Unlike some kids, she never liked being surrounded by numerous people all the time; she had a few of them she could count on. The way she usually spent her leisure time included reading, exploring her surroundings, and practicing magic where possible.
Despite being proud of her pure-blood status, Adéla did not grow up defining the people based on their blood status only. Being brought up in this traditional atmosphere, she formed her opinion about everything as she got older.
When her letter from Hogwarts finally came, Adéla was enthusiastic rather than nervous because for the first time in her life she had a chance to get out of the stereotyped image and find out who she is.The very first display of Adéla's accidental magic happened when she was just seven years old, at the peak of one of the most stormy storms ever recorded by her family. Due to her innate fear of loud noises, the girl had been hiding under the grand piano in her family drawing room while it was pouring rain outside. The sudden boom of lightning near one of the trees made the whole estate tremble and scared the girl to tears. While she was squeezing his eyes and putting her hands over his ears, all the candles and fireplaces in the room burst into intense blue flames. Unlike the usual fire, the magic one was burning silently without damaging anything in the room – it was lighting up the room without touching any furniture, curtains, or wooden floors.
The commotion led to Adéla's parents, brothers, sisters, as well as some servants entering the drawing room and seeing her hiding under the piano surrounded by weird blue flames. As soon as her mother sat down next to her and embraced her, the magic fire disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared.
Though frightening at the time, the incident was celebrated within the family, confirming that Adéla had inherited the magical abilities expected of a pureblood child.
