Madoka had quite a normal childhood, she was quiet and peaceful. Ignorant of everything outside her perfect little magical world. Her dad was a Magizoologist so she was exposed to different animals and had seen quite a lot of the world with his travels, she has been to quite a few countries and knows languages of many of them. She hasn't seen or associated much with muggles and even though she knows quite a bit about the wizarding world she doesn't know anything about the muggle world, whenever she travelled it was only in wizarding communities, she never really faced the muggle world and she kept to whatever wizarding family she was visiting.

The Omitsu family are quite friendly with many other wizarding family around the world, they have friends in many countries that Madoka's dad made while travelling for work and they kept in touch, this has made their family quite well known and powerful but all that came with consequences

Growing up in the Omitsu family wasn't always the best. Because of the connections and the power they had they had to keep up the standards to make sure that they could keep the power by showing that they were better, there were always family members being rude or pressuring Madoka to do better in her studies to get her grades up before going to school but Madoka handled the pressure quite well until her dad died when she was seven years old.

The official report says he died mysteriously but in reality he was murdered by a powerful dark Wizarding family from France called the Vernier family and Madoka is almost positive someone or something killed him on one of his trips to study a new magical creature in France, Madoka had pleaded to come along but he shut it down quite firmly and was very tense before he left.

After he left Madoka had dreams of death and a horrible feeling something would happen to him and after the news got to the Omitsu family about his passing, she became obsessed with investigating and she kept having the recurring dream about his death that she thought might be clues. Madoka was neglecting her schoolwork and only focusing on that. Until she was about nine she gave up when it all came to nothing.

Her mum, Noriko coped with the loss very differently, she became colder and more reserved towards Madoka, letting the house elves take care of her daughter while she shut herself in her study and worked.


Eventually Noriko met a French muggle named Elliot and the two got married, the only reason Noriko married a muggle was out of spite to annoy her family and soon enough Elliot had changed the family completely, like a toxic virus infecting the already broken family, he was harsher and pushed Madoka to do more schoolwork and learn more magic. He was also a liar, he lied, saying he was a wizard to everyone except Noriko and Madoka. Even though he has Noriko on his side, Elliot being a wizard is quite unconvincing and most people know he’s lying anyway.

Noriko reintroduced him to magic from when he was previously obliviated because he had knowledge of it previously, because he was engaged to Sunny Valkyrie, Jay’s mother

Madoka is quite unique in the way she holds herself, she doesn't like to be noticed and is quite soft, she doesn't talk much as she is mainly pouring over books and trying to understand certain things none of her classmates could ever understand.

Madoka has soft dark brown eyes that seem to always be flitting around to search for things as if she is assessing threats or looking for something or someone. They seem to reflect everything around her and unless you look closely, they look void of any sort of emotion.

She has long ish brown hair with a fringe that is slightly wavy and has rings of blonde like little halos that she achieved using hair bleach at the end of her first year nearing the start of her second. There are three of them, one placed away from her scalp, one in the middle and the last one was positioned at the end of her hair

She is quite tall for her age, taller then most kids in her year, standing at 5 ft which would make her a bit intimidating to others if it weren't for her lack of speaking as she always seems to be drifting off into other realms of her thoughts.

When she was five years old, Madoka was outside playing with a butterfly, chasing it mainly in the garden and she grabbed it, snapping one of its wings. Madoka, not realizing what she had done, put it onto a rock, hoping it would fly away but when it didn't and just flapped around hopelessly, its wing snapped and she realised what she had done.

Madoka curled up in a ball and watched as the butterfly fluttered around on deaths door and cried, trying to draw her eyes away from the small creature but she could only stare at it, her eyes refused to close or move away. It was like the heavens had seen what she had done and forced her to see her mistake.

After what seemed like hours of crying (when it was in fact, only thirty minutes) Madoka managed to get up and walk towards the butterfly, she crouched down so she was at eye level with it and watched as it still fluttered, weaker and weaker by the second.

“I’m sorry” she whispered and a few heartbeats passed and then the wing started to stick itself back together with what seemed like golden thread appearing out of nowhere and stitching it back together. Madoka watched in awe as the butterfly’s wing mended itself and once the thread had finished, the butterfly flapped its newly mended wing and flew upward leaving Madoka to wonder.
