Physical Description: Nora Rose Elliot, eleven years old, has wavy brunette hair- which she usually wears down but sometimes likes to braid- and hazel eyes. She is a bit shorter than most of her peers, measuring at around 4’6”. Nora is often seen wearing her gray denim jacket and shin-high socks (often with colorful patterns).

Mental Description: Nora is a creative, peculiar girl. The few friends that Nora has had throughout her life came and went rather quickly, and while she finds contentedness in being alone, Nora still feels lonely, whether she acknowledges it or not.
Nora has been described as “strange”, “eccentric”, and “unconventional” by those in her life; all are fitting terms. While she doesn’t go out of her way to break the rules, she thinks of them not as obligatory but rather as ideas to be pondered over and tweaked. She speaks in a strange way, using figurative language to describe her thoughts and feelings. Nora doesn’t understand her mind most of the time, so she seeks to do so by processing her inner workings externally. Therefore she often murmurs to herself, hums or sings under her breath, or taps rhythms- all subconsciously.
Nora has some other strange mannerisms as well, including repetitively tapping her fingers against one another, skipping or dancing rather than walking, and making faces without even realizing it.
Nora loves creating music, especially with the piano. Playing the piano is one of many ways that she expresses herself. Other hobbies of hers include reading, dancing, crafting, and bicycling.

Biography: Nora grew up with her grandmother in the cobblestone streets of Norwich, England. Her mother died in childbirth and afterwards, her father was not in a proper mental space to raise a child. Nora does see him in Scotland once or twice a season, though. Nora had a happy childhood, as her grandmother supported her peculiar personality and creativity, and Nora often viewed her as her only friend, as the young girl had trouble bonding with her peers. Nora attended public school in Norwich up until the summer before her first year at Hogwarts, and did just fine academically, but poorly socially.

First Instance of Magic: Nora didn’t think that what happened that day was magic until she was told she was a witch. She had accepted by a very young age that sometimes things happened that you couldn’t explain, and they were part of the unique beauty of the world. When she was six years old, it was late autumn and Nora was crying to herself in a grassy area behind her primary school, upset by a couple of girls who made fun of her colorful floral sweater that her grandmother had knitted for her (at this point Nora hadn’t quite developed her philosophy of not letting others dictate her behaviors). She would sing quietly to calm herself down, and on that cool afternoon, this is exactly what she did; except the results were different than usual. Nora clutched tufts of grass in her small hands as she cried, and wildflowers and ferns seemed to grow from nowhere around them, distracting young Nora’s tears away.
