Amber is named after her piercing amber eyes. Her family does not know how her eyes became that colour, as no-one in her family has ever had them. Amber has mousy brown coloured hair, which is rather unruly and she wears it in a ponytail. Amber also has multiple freckles over her nos.

Amber hates bullying and cruelty. It is her ambition to rid the world of it. Amber is a vegan and loves animals. She spends most of her time inside, preferring books over sport. Amber loves reading and always sticks up for others.

Amber was born in Holyhead. She grew up in a cliffside cottage with her five siblings - Joshua, Gracie, Gwen, Sarah and Larry - and her mother and father. None of Amber’s family members were magic, and she was a Muggle born. Her family was happy for her when Amber received her letter of acceptance, handed to her personally by one of the professors at Hogwarts.

Amber experienced magic first when she was ten years of age. She was inside, reading, when the bookcase she was next to fell. It was about to land on her, inches away from crushing her, and Amber put her hands up to brace herself for impact. But it never came. Slowly and unsurely, Amer removed her arms from her face and looked at the bookcase. It had not fallen. The bookcase had frozen in midair!
