Physical Description: Opale is quite tall for her age. She has very dark blue eyes, so dark that they sometimes look black or grey. She has long black hair with two white streaks. This came from a failed experiment by her parents when she was with them. Since then, those streaks have symbolised failure in her parents' eyes, but despite their requests, Opale has never wanted to have them removed. It's actually one of the few things she stands up to them about. Opale is beautiful, but with a wild, cold, and elusive kind of beauty.

Mental Description: Opale is naturally very cold and distant. She has an aggressive and proud temperament, sometimes even haughty. She gets this from her family, which is a fairly well-known Pure Blood family for whom appearances matter more than anything. The young girl fears her parents and wasn't even raised by them but by a tutor. She respects them, but isn't really close to them; she just fears them and does what they ask out of fear of displeasing them.

Biography: Born on 15 June 2040, Opal has immediately been a pride for her family. Raised by a tutor she loved more than anyone else but lost contact with over the years, she doesn't really know what love between family members is. She knows how to respect, fear, and do what she's asked. Opal is naturally solitary, and her aggressive character doesn't help her make friends, which her family sees as a good sign; this way she won't risk hanging out with people of less "pure" blood than her own. The girl is happy in her solitude and struggles with the outside world. Her arrival at Hogwarts is therefore a source of worry for her, as she'll likely be forced to talk to others... and even worse, to accept them.

First Instance of Magic: Opale's first display of magic happened pretty early, much to her parents' pride. It happened when she was nine years old, and her hair was still completely black. Her parents, both renowned potion makers, were working on a new potion. Opale, eager to be helpful, stepped forward to watch and assist them. Unfortunately, when she was nearby, the potion exploded, causing serious damage. Opale should have been disfigured by the blast. However, driven by a tremendous fear, her magic kicked in and suspended her in the air long enough to keep her safe before letting her down again. As a result, she suffered no bodily harm except for two mysterious white streaks in her hair.
