Physical Description:
She is a human girl with a warm and fair to medium complexion and has expressive dark brown eyes, her eyes being naturally brown without any unusual colour or magical characteristics. Her hair is thick and naturally dark brown, extending down to her shoulders in soft, slightly wavy sections and is typically parted in the middle. She has gentle features, including defined eyebrows, a straight nose, and naturally full lips. She has an ordinary, healthy build and moves with a quiet sense of confidence. She does not have horns, a tail, any animal features, unusual skin, or hair or eye colour that is different from normal.
Mental Description:
She is intelligent, attentive and naturally curious. She likes to learn new things, especially those which enable her to find out how magic works. Though she may at first be reserved when meeting strangers, she does become friendly and talkative once she has gotten used to them. She is faithful to her friends and does not like to see people being treated unfairly. She can be stubborn when she is certain that something is right, but she is also ready to acknowledge when she has made a mistake. She usually thinks things over before taking any action, although her curiosity sometimes puts her into situations that she did not expect. She has a good sense of humour and enjoys quiet talks, reading and visiting interesting places. When facing difficulties she looks for solutions and asks for support from the people she trusts rather than giving up.
Biography:
Before she went to Hogwarts, she lived in a comfortable and loving household with her family. Her parents encouraged her to be independent, kind, and hardworking, and even though they had busy schedules they always found time for her. She was particularly close to her mother, who had encouraged her interest in books and stories, while her father usually helped her with practical matters and taught her to stay calm in difficult situations. She had a small number of close friends at school and preferred to have a few true friendships rather than trying to be popular. Although her childhood was generally ordinary, there were sometimes a few strange things that happened around her which she could never fully explain; at first her family thought these were just coincidences. She spent a great deal of her free time reading, drawing, listening to music, and exploring her neighbourhood. Even though her home life was happy, she often felt that there was something unusual about herself which she had not yet understood.
First Instance of Magic:
When she first showed her magic she was about seven years old, though it wasn't until many years later that she fully realised what had actually taken place. It was a typical afternoon at home, one of those quiet afternoons which appeared to go on forever. She was having great difficulty with a piece of homework and was becoming more and more frustrated as she desperately looked for the book that she needed. She turned her room inside out, checking under her bed, in the drawers and on all the shelves, but the book was not to be found.
Finally, so tired that she was nearly in tears, she sat down on the floor. Her frustration suddenly erupted. She squeezed her hands, closed her eyes, and let out a frustrated cry.
Then something happened.
A sudden thud came from behind her.
She froze.
Slowly, she turned around.
The book that was missing was lying on the floor several feet from the place where it had been left. She looked at it and was completely bewildered; she had not touched it, had not moved towards it, and, as far as she knew, had done absolutely nothing.
Her heart started to beat.
For a few seconds she just sat there, looking at the book as if it were a living thing. She desperately searched for a normal explanation, telling herself that maybe it had dropped from somewhere or that she had somehow missed it, but none of these explanations fitted.
Her parents soon noticed her odd silence and saw her still seated on the floor, looking at the book. Since they could see the fear and confusion on her face, they didn't laugh at her or frighten her, but rather kindly told her that it was sometimes the case that strange things occurred for reasons which people did not immediately understand.
She would remember that moment for many years, even though the details started to become indistinct. It was only much later, when she at last knew what magic was, that she came to realise the truth: that frightened and bewildering moment had in fact been her very first demonstration of wandless magic.
