She has blue eyes, with freckles across her face. She has dark brown hair that sits just below her shoulders. Her hair is in a sort of shaggy hair cut, similar to a wolf cut.

Zara is very cunning yet sweet. She has no issues standing up for what she thinks is right. Zara sometimes has issues trusting people when she opens up, she will be loyal til the end. She loves to read, but not for school just for her own pleasure. She also loves collecting random little trinkets to symbolize a story. She keeps them all in a memory box.

Zara lives in Birmingham with her mum, dad, eldest brother (Leo) and older sister (Esme). They have two dogs (Pepper and Bach) and a bird (Jello Yello). Her family is not totally in the dark when it comes to muggle life and items given where she lives. But they still are learning the muggle world. Her family is very supportive, loving and caring.

When Zara was 6, her Esme broke one of Zara's favorite mugs. Upset and frustrated Zara, tried to pick up all the pieces. In the midst of doing so, all of the pieces flew together and magically mended itself, safely landing in Zara's hands after it was repaired. The Blackwoods had a feeling she would be magical and this confirmed it.
