Physical Description: Mercedes has a fair build and is overall healthy. He has a neutral or unbothered resting face most of the time. His hair is cut short and is somewhat wavy, maroon-brown eyes as well as Maroon-brown hair. His skin color is a cool, pale tan color.

Mental Description: Mercedes is a blunt, no-nonsense boy who values truthfulness and facts above sympathy and feelings. His compassion comes from acts of service and direct, practical solutions. He holds great self control and can be described as “mature”. His curiosity, problem-solving, and competitiveness helps with that image of a responsible person. However, Mercedes can come off as detached or uncaring with the way he carries himself or talk to others, he is rather flat-faced and isn’t that expressive. His one-liners are something that people find comedic or disrespectful.

Biography: The Rubio family are competent and competitive muggle-borns of high intelligence and charisma. It is common for a Rubio to achieve great things, especially that each Rubio has their own passion and talents they pursue with ambition and dedication. The downside is that most of the Rubio family are detached emotionally. Unfortunately, Mercedes isn’t naturally talented or skillful compared to his family members. Mercedes’ older brother, Matthias Rubio, is another intelligent young man who had successfully run a business for inventions and products at the age of 16. Seeing how well his brother is and how left behind himself is, Mercedes became even more dedicated to his own dream to become an engineer and surpass Matthias’ intelligence. Though, his big dream might’ve just encountered a huge obstacle. His sudden ability to perform magic.

First Instance of Magic: A year before turning 11 (10 years old), Mercedes had exhausted himself to stress over schoolwork and his grand project (a music box, during that day) to beat Matthias and prove his competence to his family. When Matthias got arrogant around him despite his brother’s sad condition, Mercedes couldn’t help but feel angry. He swallowed his pride and anger, holding back the tears and need to shout. Then the weird event happened, his music box and the grandfather’s clock behind him begins to play and spin, faster and faster until it breaks into pieces. Neither Matthias nor Mercedes said a word, they both simply stared at each other in bafflement. Both of them considered a ghost, but neither can actually confirm this.
