Minerva Russell is a 4'9" feet tall girl. She's an aptly healthy but thin little girl. Minerva has light skin, a little on the side of beige with cool undertone. She has brownish black, wavy hair, that reaches just below her shoulder, not longer. Minerva's eyebrows are rather a little more than thin, straight, and of a colour that matches her hair. Her eyes are brown, hinting more at the black side. She has a very little wider than a tiny nose, below rests her not so thick lips.

Minerva is an intelligent girl. She likes to read books. However, she's also a brave person. There have been a very few times when she had hesitated to stand for the right. She's rebellious but for all the good reasons. She likes to learn new things, be it adventurous, bookish things, or things of life.
She has a lot of hobbies. She likes to paint. Minerva is also a good chess player. She's brilliant in her studies.

Minerva rather likes her friend circle small, but full of people that actually care about each other. She loves it when someone gives her a nickname, although she finds her name in itself beautiful.

She's an admirable, adventurous, girl. She's out going, however, sometimes when she's upset, she rather wants to isolate herself but expects to be surrounded by her friends at the same time. She is an empathetic, understanding and ambitious girl. Although, she works on logic most of the time. Minerva, however admirable she is, is a short-tempered person. She tries her very best to control this very emotion, sometimes succeeding in doing so, and sometimes not. She's brave and would never hesitate in standing for what's right.

Minerva comes from a family that consists of her mother Ciesta Russell, who's a pure-blood witch and her father James Russell, a muggle-born wizard which makes Minerva a half-blood witch. Both her parents are loving and caring. Being a half-blood, she's been exposed to the different worlds of wizards and witches, and that of the muggles. She has a 7 year old sister, Ginerva Russell, who has started showing her first signs of magic. Minerva shares a lovely bond with her little sister. She had two friends from her muggle school since they were 7, who later became distant from her as they considered her weird for being too brilliant at her studies.

Minerva showed her first instance of accidental magic when she was eight. She had received a letter from both of her friends at school in which they had mentioned how they didn't like her anymore. She felt angry, upset and disappointed. The girl was gripping the paper tightly and sobbing quietly when she felt her hand burn. She looked at her hands and saw the paper burning. She swiftly jerked her hands and let out a scream, calling for her mother. Fortunately enough, her mother came running and quickly understood what had happened.
