Being from Edinburgh in a family of pure-blooded wizards, magic has always been a natural part of my life. Before I began Hogwarts, my parents provided me with a basic home education and informed me about the magical world, its customs, and the knowledge I would finally need before going to school. Growing up among magic, odd moving objects, enchanted possessions, and spells never appeared strange to me.

I am eleven years old, fairly pale, skinny, and approximately 4'9" tall. My hair is very long, dark brown; my brows are dark; and freckles cover all of my nose. Simple dark clothing and tiny silver earrings usually appeal to me.

I am quiet around people I don't know well, but once I feel at ease, I start to be far more talkative. Especially when I'm sure I'm right, I tend to be domineering, headstrong, inquisitive, and even sarcastic. I am also devoted to and protective of people I love. I love reading, sketching, discovering historical sites, and picking up little things that stick out to me.

At six years old, I had my first magic experience at home in Edinburgh. After knocking a glass off a table, I started to panic. It stopped just short of landing gently on the carpet. Despite the joy of my parents, I was taken aback.
