I have wavy light brown hair. I have green eyes. I am usually known for being friendly. The deep dimples that appear whenever I smile make me look approachable.. My personality is a little more complicated than that. I am highly intelligent. I am also deeply chaotic. Sarcasm is my second language. When I am nervous when I am embarrassed when I am trying to avoid talking about my feelings I hide behind witted jokes. I use sarcastic comments. Most people find them funny. They are really my favorite defense mechanism.

I am different from witches and wizards. I come from a Muggle family. My parents have office jobs. Far as anyone knows there has never been a witch or a wizard in my immediate family tree. Magic was not something we believed in. It belonged in fairy tales. It belonged in fantasy books. It belonged in movies. That is what we all thought.

Everything changed during one boring math test at school. I had been staring at the impossible question for a long time. My pencil was on the desk in front of me. I was absentmindedly looking at its worn-down lead tip. I wished I could disappear of finishing the test. Then without warning the pencil vanished. It did not roll off the desk. It did not fall onto the floor. It simply disappeared into air. One second it was there. The second it was completely gone. I blinked times. I was sure I was imagining things. I even checked under my chair. Nothing. My teacher thought I had misplaced it. I knew what I had seen. I could not explain it. No one else could explain it either. That strange moment was the first sign that there was something incredibly unusual about me. Something that would eventually lead me to discover that I was the witch, in my family.
