My name is Rose Love, and I grew up in Bedford, England, in a wizarding family. I have long brown hair and blue eyes. I'm about average height for my age. I usually wear my hair in a braid because it stays out of my face, though I sometimes leave it open when I’m relaxing. People often say I look serious when I’m deep in thought, but I light up and smile a lot once a conversation turns to something I’m passionate about.
I’ve always been curious and love learning about the world around me. I enjoy going to School and it is one of my favourite places because I like discovering new things and challenging myself. I’m especially drawn to languages and have a strong interest in ancient runes and magical scripts. I love reading, but I prefer thrilling adventure stories and fantasy novels over dry textbooks. In my free time I enjoy playing wizard’s chess, spending time outdoors, and, more than anything else, Quidditch.
I’m organised and loyal to my friends, though I can be quite impatient. I prefer solving problems on my own before asking for help, and I work best with people who share my curiosity. I sometimes overthink things because I want to get them right, but that never stops me from trying something new or taking risks.
My first accidental burst of magic happened when I was nine years old at home. I was looking for my favorite picture-book and a random book that I hadn’t even been looking for suddenly slid off a high shelf and flew straight towards me. I stood there completely stunned, staring at the book floating in front of me. My parents immediately recognised it as accidental magic and were overjoyed, while I was still trying to process what had just occurred.
