Physical Description: Nora stands at about 130cm with gangly limbs and mousy brown hair. Flyaways tend to frame her face as her father normally attempts to tame her hair in two braids. Her eyes are a striking blue grey, normally lit up to match the smile on her face. Due to her need to constantly be outside, Nora’s cheeks are consistently rosey.

Mental Description: Nora is a cheery young girl, driven by curiosity and the need to include everyone around her. Though initially forward towards others, Nora is mostly gentle in her interactions as she leans towards observing rather than probing when getting to know new people. There is very little that stops Nora from trying new things. Every day entails a new hobby, a new adventure, or occasionally a new injury. But she takes it all in stride. Her older brother (older by much), was not always around to play with her, so she resorted to talking to herself or making friends with the nearest insect or animal.

Biography: Nora was born in London [6/17/15] to Isabel and Archibald Earthweaver. The Earthweavers were a very old, though not quite well known, pure-blood family. The Earthweaver name would be more popular amongst the St Mungo’s crowd as the family bore some of the greatest healers. At a young age, Nora’s father fell victim to a small but violent outbreak of Dragon Pox, and despite some of the best hands and magic working to care for him, including her bright mother, he passed when she was only seven. The measures taken to contain the contagious disease resulted in Archibald's quarantine, and so Nora never had a chance to say goodbye. Her memories of him are few and faint, though she would never doubt his love for her or her mother. Yet, most of his time and efforts were placed at St Mungo’s rather than in the home.

Isabel remarried when Nora was nine. The disgruntledness at how quickly she did so was nothing in comparison to the anger and disgust at who she married. A muggle. John Dashwood was a sheep farmer, and it was a mere chance that he ever crossed paths with Isabel. She had been visiting a friend near York when they had met, John in the midst of seeking one of his lambs. See, they were curious creatures, and tended to wander off, occasionally into nearby communities. Isabel had found the lamb helping itself to her friend’s garden, and an instant fondness overcame her. She thought of Nora and her affinity for wandering animals. Little did she know this lamb would lead her to John. It was love at first sight.

John had a son, twenty at the time. Edmund was a soldier, rarely at home and with little interest in knowing his father’s new wife and child. But Nora loved him as a brother almost instantly and it became harder and harder to keep away. The first year was a time of much adjustment for the new family, Isabel and Nora moving to York. That particular decision was easy. Isabel loved being away from the bustle and stuffiness of the city. Honestly, wherever John was became home for her. Nora loved being in the country. There were so many insects and bugs and it was only the first day when she gave every sheep a name. There were 147 of them.

First Instance of Magic: Nora’s first instance of her magical ability was when she was just shy of turning four. She went through a gardening phase, or whatever you called it when a three year old would create small mounds of dirt, tidying rocks to create makeshift beds. It had been a long day for her, arranging seeds her mother had so kindly bought for her. She fell asleep outside, John the one who was home while Isabel was away at St. Mungo's for the day. When he discovered Nora, covered in dirt but comfortable nonetheless, he found the garden in full bloom along with her. Nora would later say she wished for them to bloom so strongly that they did so in her dreams. It was a perfectly splendid thing to wake up to, realizing she had made her dream come true.
