interests: Cinema (especially experimental movies – think "The Act of Seeing With One's Own Eyes" (1972), Maya Deren's "Meshes of the Afternoon" and "The Witch's Cradle," "Satantango," "As I Was Moving Ahead, Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty" and other works by Jonas Mekas, and way more!! My favorite directors are Tarkovsky, Robert Bresson, Maya Deren, and Kenji Mizoguchi), martial arts (most of my life I practiced Aikido, but now, due to moving, I’ve switched to Karate, which is very different, I know), experimental music (I play drums myself and admire artists like Aphex Twin, Death Grips, Giles Corey, Boards of Canada, Have a Nice Life, etc.), contemporary art (I go to many local art galleries and participate in their programs myself. I admire the works of Basquiat, Dali, Schiele, etc.). I’m also into rock climbing, horseback riding, fencing, and archery in terms of athletics, and poetry, literature, sculpture, painting, and film from the creatives.
