Physical Description: Nova is very well kept, a habit grown out of the pressures of her mother. Her long hair is light brown and straight, occasionally holding some wave to it, and she almost always leaves it down. Her eyes are icy blue, often piercing in their nature as she observes everything around her, and her skin is fairly pale and unblemished. She is an average height for her age, and her figure is lean and toned from years of dancing.

Mental Description: Nova is hyper independent, and has convinced herself that she doesn’t need anyone in her life. That being said, she truly enjoys others’ company most of the time and thrives off of parties and crowds. She can often get along with many different kinds of people, but is also easily annoyed by people when they do or say something she doesn’t like. In fact, her confrontational nature is often her least favorite part of herself, because it often causes her to push people away at the slightest disagreement. She is constantly striving to be better than others at practically everything, stemming from a deeply rooted insecurity that she isn’t enough, and can become quickly frustrated when it’s clear she is the inferior in any situation.

Biography: On November the 12th of 2014, Vivianne Vancourt gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and named her Nova Esther Vancourt. The affair through which she was conceived would stay a secret from everyone, including Marshall Vancourt, who Nova would grow up knowing as her father, her older brother Kassian, and Nova herself. As a pureblooded family, the Vancourts participated in high society events and had deeply rooted connections with countless wizarding families. She was raised near Ambleside in the English countryside and had tutors and teachers for academic and artistic subjects, the latter of which included piano and ballet.

Nova often grew up in the shadow of her brother, a successful Slytherin student two years her senior that seemed to be everything her parents wanted. The heir to the Vancourt name, Kassian was nothing less than a poster child and often received more attention and praise. This wasn't to say that Nova was neglected, of course, but she saw very few benefits to being the second child and always wished that she could be perfect, something he made to look easy.

First Instance of Magic: Her first instance of magic was during a dinner with her family when she was about four. She didn't want the dinner set in front of her (the shrimp reminded her of bugs and she was revolted) but was told to eat it anyway. When she screamed in protest, all the candles in the dining room extinguished themselves.
