Physical Description: Riley has long curly dark brown hair that is the same shade as her almond shaped eyes with long eyelashes. She has olive skin with faint freckles that cover her body and are darker on her cheeks and button nose. She has thin lips, small ears, and semi-thin eyebrows along with black round glasses that always slide down her nose. She stands at 140 cm (4’7) with a semi-athletic build and a flat chest, small feet, and thin, long fingers. Her knees are scuffed up from years of playing sports and she has a faint scar on her neck from her first instance of accidental magic that she covers up with a scarf. She wears the standard Hogwarts uniform as well.

Mental Description: Riley is a reserved and introverted person who’s very observant. She used to be more of an extrovert and was very social at school. She now listens more than she talks and has always prided herself on her intelligence; in muggle school she was above grade level in all subjects. She’s also actually very stubborn, determined, and ambitious; she’s never given up on anything and will make sure something gets done if she puts her mind to it. (I’d say that she’s pretty similar to Hermione Granger in a way…she looks up to her a lot once she starts learning about them in school.) This means that while she’s usually quiet, if she gets worked up about a situation or concept she’ll reveal more of her personality. Her hobbies include reading, logic puzzles, drawing, playing sports (specifically softball), ice skating, and sleeping. Some of her quirks are that you can tell that she’s really focused when she takes off her glasses (she’s near-sighted so it’s easier for her to see things closer up without them), and that since her glasses are always falling down, instead of pushing them back up she’ll tilt her head up and look down through them at people/things. She also has an extensive collection of stuffed animals and books.

Biography: Riley played all sorts of sports when she was little, ranging from hockey to most recently softball. She was born in Ireland, but when Riley turned 10, her parents died in a car crash. Her and her now nine-year-old brother moved to England to live with their paternal aunt and uncle along with their two-year-old cousin. She used to have tons of friends at school in Ireland and was very social, but once she moved to Lavenham, England she became more quiet and emotionally distant. She’s completely oblivious to the magical world along with the rest of her family. Riley is apart of the 20206-2027 first year class.

First Instance of Magic: After moving to Lavenham when she was 10, she was bullied a lot for her quiet nature. Her classmates were always picking on her or trying to make her mess up. Finally, Riley had enough. One day, those kids decided to try to “accidentally” spill ink all over her very important project. The plan horrifically backfired; the ink instead grew large and was thrown all over her classmates and the feathers from their quills doubled in size and flew straight onto them. They looked like wet chickens. Due to this embarrassment, the children accused Riley of being cursed. That’s what she thought she was until she finally received a letter from Hogwarts.
