Artem is described as a lanky boy, standing around 4’5 ft. He has shaggy russet coloured hair framing his sunkissed features. He is known for his delicate cherubic face: long, black eyelashes fluttering above curious amber hues and soft lips.

Artem Armani is known to be a boisterous young boy seemingly filled with an unlimited energy. He’s one of the impressionable and admittedly, cowardly first years. Visceral and horror don't sit well in his stomach. Although he has a knack of being opportunistic, often trading his sweets or conjuring deals that benefit himself. He’s oddly possessive over material things.


Artemio “Artem” Avarici is a half-blood wizard, born to a wizard father and muggle mother. His father died when he was a mere baby, his death caused by an unlucky shot from a duel with an unhappy investor. Taking the truth of the wizarding world with him to the grave--never disclosing such fact to his new family. Leaving baby Artem in his mother’s care, so he was more muggle than a wizard, he lived in the muggle world, played with his muggle friends and went muggle school. It was mostly him and his mother in the vineyard until his nanny, Meissa, a vampire came to his life, at the age of five. After his elderly relative had grown to weary to travelling down to their humble county.

When he turned eight, his mother had been institutionalised in a muggle psychiatric facility after a psychotic break. An unfortunate incident induced by the gorey sight of her son and Meissa, where the latter had attempted to turn Artem into a vampire. Fortunately, the ritual failed. Meissa had covered this incident up, framing his mother's psychotic break as a result of years longs repressed stress from running a failing vineyard and taking care of her son on her own. Since then, he has been raised by Meissa, his vampiric legal guardian.

It was Meissa who unraveled the veil of the wizarding world to young Artem. Meissa taught him the basics of the secret world, shattering his previous perception. After his mother’s departure, Meissa practically raised Artem as one of her own. She grew fond of him despite the unlucky circumstance of years ago, often guilty of sometimes spoiling the boy. Though, she is quick to reclaim such lavish items when he incites the slightest annoyance from her.

Artem demonstrated his first instance of magic at the age of eight, as a response to the danger of the vampire turning ritual. It manifested as a temporary blinding light that emanated from his skin, stunning the vampire and flung her across the room. Severing the connection that allowed him to escape the vampiric curse.
