Lydia Ambrosia Dedalus

Physical Description:
Lydia is a cheerful, somewhat precocious and forthright 11 year old with straight dark brown/black hair and dark eyes. She has light brown skin, which darkens in Summer, though she can look pale if she's spent all Summer inside reading. She is taller than most of her classmates due to an early growth-spurt, and has knobbly perpetually-scuffed knees, due to a habit of running around competitively in sport.

Mental Description: Lydia has been called 'a pleasure to have in class' by her muggle teachers. Very ambitious, with high standards for excellence and a tendency for perfectionism, Lydia naturally takes charge in things. She has a love for animals, history, language and magical sports. She particularly likes to discover hidden secrets. She will likely be the first one to break any 'dangerous' rule if it'll let her see some new magical wonder, though in class, she has a tendency to be a teacher's pet. She likes to befriend those easily and especially 'collect' those on the outside of things who look like they could do with someone to stand up for them. She can be particularly ruthless in competition however, especially when it comes to sport or academics.

Biography: Born to witch Gabriella Dedalus and muggle-born Yusef FitzHarrow, Lydia spent most of her early years with her father, as her impressive witch mother was out travelling the world in her job in the field of Cryptozoological research. She therefore didn't grow up with much magic, but she and her twin brother Alexander Avicenna Dedalus know something of the magical world from what their father taught them.

First Instance of Magic: When Lydia was four, her pet tabby cat Gil(gamesh) turned a violent shade of pink, along with all the furniture, carpet and walls.
