Briar is more a reserved, quiet witch who watches everything from a distance. Although she may seem cold, if you are able to get past her facade you will create a bond for life. Briar finds violins to be the most ear wrenching sound that she can think of, so if she happens to be around whilst someone is playing she will be quick to find an excuse to leave. Briar enjoys reading in her free time, and will most likely be found in the library with a stack of books by her side. Although Briar may seem quite boring, she acts like this on purpose, there is a reason she doesn't want people to find an interest in her. Briar struggles with anxiety, which plays a part in her not being very social, but also affects her in a lot of other different ways. Briar has a slender 4'9" figure, fair skin, ice blue eyes, freckles over her nose and cheeks, and pale blonde hair. As a young girl Briar would ride horses on her parent's estate in the Malvern Hills, where she would spend hours roaming in the plains, making dandelion chains, and water colour painting. Briar was well loved by everyone who met her, and she tried her best to continue being the perfect child everyone thought she was, but it was hard for her. Hard for her to pretend like being constantly watched and judged for every little thing she did was normal, hard for her to not wish for a life where she wasn't expected to be perfect at everything. As Briar grew older and started to be privately tutored, her parent's expectations grew. She was no longer able to paint, or ride horses, or do anything else she used to love, instead being forced to study and revise every waking moment that she wasn't at being tutored. Briar was a straight O student who did actually enjoy learning new things, but her parent's constant pressure put a lot of stress on her. Briar's magic first surfaced when she was 8 years old. She was studying late into the night for a test happening the next day, and couldn't understand a maths problem when suddenly her textbook started floating midair. Briar was shocked, but she didn't panic, she had been told by everyone she knew to expect this exact moment, and even to be excited.
