Physical Description:

Saffron has long, dark hair and brown eyes. As of first year, she is 4'5".

Mental Description:

Saffron is a kind person who likes to take the initiative to help others however she can. She has drive and ambition, which she learned by witnessing her mum's hard work. This means that she likes to stay on top of her academics and doesn't tend to back down from a challenge.

She's witty, compassionate, and even-tempered. She doesn't like schedules changing on a whim and experiences a lot 0f anxiety in anticipation for events. Saffron is loyal, and while she typically doesn't like to break rules without reason, she would do just about anything for a good cause if she was following her friends.

She was raised attending both violin and piano lessons. Because of her parents, she learned a lot about baking and architecture(and, indirectly through her dad's stories, magic). Her favorite ways to pass time were going for walks, listening to music, or both.

Biography:

Her dad, Gibbon Lark, is a pureblood who grew up very poor. He fell in love with her mum, a rich muggle named Audrey Brown. Gibbon ran off to be with her, and as such, Saffron was raised in a very well-off household.

Audrey is the CEO of her own architect business, and Gibbon owns a bakery in London. He would pick Saffron up from private school every afternoon and she would help around the shop for a few hours. When business was slow, her dad would entertain her with stories of a magical world of wizards, beasts, and talking paintings.

"Is that really your favorite part?" He would laugh.

"Of course it is!" She had said defensively. "Can you imagine? If the Mona Lisa could speak?"

Even when it turned out those tales weren't solely to pass the time, she still cherished them.

As far as her friends of that time were concerned, Saffron transferred to a "public school" at age 11. She was never forced to elaborate when summer rolled around since there were so many other things to catch up on.

Keeping muggle friends so close might've been cause for concern, but her mum had always stressed the importance of networking to Saffron, and she liked being with them even if they were different from the witches her age that she could be honest with.

First Instance of Magic:

Saffron's First Instance of Magic(FIOM) was when she was ten. Admittedly, this was late for any wizard or witch, but she hadn't grown up surrounded by magic like most with sooner FIOMs had.

Regardless, it occurred when she was helping her dad in the bakery after school. She was in the backroom and had finally finished arranging the platter of pastries that would go in the display case. As she turned to bring it out to her dad, she hadn't noticed that the steel cart had rolled onto the edge of her apron(which she wore purely for appearance's sake). She tripped and the platter went flying.

Except no, it didn't. Moments before the baked goods could slide off and collide with the ground, Saffron flung her arms out desperately. The platter, the pastries, and even she herself all froze mid-fall.

In shock, Saffron hung there in silence for a couple of seconds.

Her dad pushed open the door. "How's the arrangement coming along?"

His eyes locked onto the treats suspended in air, and his gaze slowly traveled to her. She panicked, and her control unraveled. Everything crashed to the ground as previously intended--including her.

"Ow." she had complained, and her dad was already closing the door behind him, explanations flying from his lips.
